This is only a suggestion though, so feel free to just play for fun and circle back to mop these achievements up later if you don't unlock them naturally. Of course, if you're struggling to progress, it might not be a bad idea to take a break from story progression and spend some time hunting down chests for upgrades and killing enemies along the way to get money to buy more skills.Įven though no achievements are missable, there are some you could keep an eye out for to get right away to save yourself some time. As such, my recommendation would be to hold off on returning to previously-visited areas until you've acquired all abilities (the last one being Wall Fly) so that you don't need to revisit large areas multiple times. Some areas are quite large, meaning that returning to them to explore with new abilities can still take some time.

While there are fast travel points in this game, there is only one per area.

No achievements are missable, so as long as you put in the cheat code to play on Hard mode from the start, you're free to progress and explore at any speed you'd like. Like any Metroidvania game, there isn't really a need for a walkthrough of any sort. The only other way to unlock Hard mode is to beat the game on Normal, so this will save a ton of time. Refer to Even Darkester (80G) for the code. To save yourself an additional playthrough, be sure to enter the cheat code at the main menu to unlock Hard mode from the start. My recommendation is just to play as Jaguar throughout the game. He is stronger than Juan and there are two achievements tied to playing as him: one that will come early with natural play, and one for beating the final boss. The first of the two gives you access to some extra playable characters, one of which is Jaguar.

That being said, there will obviously be a decent amount of skill required to complete many sections of this game if you're after the full completion. This game has definitely stepped it up with some of the combat and platforming challenges, but in my opinion they are all fair and fun to attempt. If you've played the first game, this game plays identically: a 2D Metroidvania with a heavy emphasis on combat and combos. Yes, the story is a bit ridiculous, but the humor and ridiculousness from the first game is present here more than ever, making for an even more fun experience. In this game, the Mexiverse is threatened by Salvador, who wants to destroy all universes so he can rule the only one remaining. Welcome to Guacamelee! 2, the second adventure for Juan, the ultimate Luchador in the land. Unobtainable/glitched achievements: None Does difficulty affect achievements: Yes - must play on Hard for Even Darkester (80G) Minimum number of playthroughs needed: 1 as long as you use a cheat code to unlock Hard mode from the start

Approximate amount of time to 1000 : 15-20 hours Estimated achievement difficulty: 7/10
